What it takes to be the Best Dry Cleaner on Long Island

A question we commonly encounter is what makes American Dry Cleaners the best dry cleaner? While we don’t like to brag, the answer is a combination of our equipment, our processes and commitment to service, and the steps our customers take to make sure they get best dry cleaning results.

How do we give you the best dry cleaning experience?

Our experience starts with a smart garment check in. Every customer at American Dry Cleaners gets a unique profile accessible online that contains their virtual wardrobe. Every garment we handle has a unique barcode heat sealed discreetly inside the collar. At any time, you can view which of your garments are in production, ready for pickup, or out for delivery!

After you’ve dropped off (or we’ve picked up for free), we triple check every garment. First, garments are inspected for spots, stains, rips, tears, or other damage and treated appropriately. If your garment is in need of serious repair, we offer on-site repairs as well as alterations.

After your garment has been inspected and initially cleaned, it is inspected again for quality and either re-treated or moved along the production line to pressing and steaming. Any missing or broken buttons are automatically replaced at no additional cost, and you’ll never be surprised by finding out your garment is unwearable when you need it.

After the garment is steamed or pressed it moves into our bagging area, where the final inspection takes place and your garment is scanned as ready for pick up. You’ll receive a text message or email letting you know your garment is ready as well.

How can you help us?

Keeping these tips in mind will make our job easier and we’ll be more likely to return your garment clean and quickly.

  • Leave it to the professionals! Don't try to remove stains yourself. Some home stain removers cause problems that can't be reversed.

  • Point out the stains when your dropping of your garments. If you can identify what caused the stain and how long it has been there, that will help us give you the best dry cleaning experience even more.

  • Have a special request or pickup date? Let us know up front if you noticed loose buttons, open seams or small holes. If your garment is vintage, extremely delicate, or designer let us know so we can handle it with special care.

The best dry cleaners are the ones that care

As part of our commitment to being the best dry cleaner on Long Island, we care about your safety and the environment around us. We are a perc-free facility and use environmentally friendly detergents coupled with state of the art equipment that use less water and less detergent than a home washing machine with a comparable load. We also care about your experience and are committed to 100% customer satisfaction. While this may sound cliché, we actually mean it. We stand behind our work 100%, and in the unlikely event there is a problem, we will do whatever we can to make it right.
